Who We Are
EveryHeartbeat is a youth-led nonprofit driven by one core belief: that empathy, when acted upon, can spark systemic change.
We were founded by high school students who saw the gap between awareness and action — between wanting to help and knowing how. In a world where global health crises, inequity, and disconnection often feel overwhelming, we created EveryHeartbeat as a platform where young people could turn compassion into impact. What began as a local effort has grown into a movement of youth across the country committed to care, dignity, and voice.
We focus our work through three signature programs:
Bundles of Love: Care packages filled with hygiene essentials and comfort items for underserved youth, patients, and families. Every bundle includes a handwritten note and a reminder that someone cares.
Words for Warriors: Handwritten letters from students to deployed service members, reminding them that their courage and sacrifice are seen, honored, and deeply appreciated.
NextGen Health: A digital youth health journal featuring original articles on medicine, mental health, and equity. From neuroscience to public policy, our contributors publish work that’s both scientifically grounded and personally meaningful.
At EveryHeartbeat, we’re not waiting for adulthood to make change — we’re leading with the power we already have. We believe that:
Youth are experts in their lived experience
Empathy is a form of leadership
Storytelling is activism
Small actions — every bundle, every letter, every article — can create lasting ripples of care
We are writers, volunteers, researchers, artists, and students. We are a generation that sees the broken pieces — and chooses to build something better anyway.
And we’re just getting started.
